Refund policy

VERGO Designs will accept returns within 14 days of receipt of your order, as long as the item is in its original condition and includes the original box, dust bags and with the original tags attached. Handbags with any sign of wear will not be accepted for a return or refund.

 

For returns or exchanges, please mail us on info@vergodesigns.com and we will facilitate collection and/or swap-out of your item. Additional shipping costs for exchanges related to mistakes on our part will be free of charge, exchanges due to customers changing their mind will be be for the customer's account.

 

REQUEST A RETURN FOR SOUTH AFRICAN ORDERS

If you would like to request a return, please email us at info@vergodesigns.com with your order number. Once you have submitted your request, a return authorization will be sent to you within 72 hours with return instructions. All items must be returned in perfect condition, not used and with the original packaging and tags. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are scratched, damaged or not in their original packaging.

 

VERGO Designs reserves the right to refuse any return on merchandise that does not meet the above requirements. If your return is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your expense and a refund will not be issued. We appreciate your understanding. Original shipping costs are non–refundable, and a R199.00 fee will be applied if you choose to use our domestic return courier, to be deducted from any refund due.

 

REQUEST A RETURN FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

All items must be returned in perfect condition, not used and with the original packaging and tags. We are unable to offer an exchange or refund on items that are scratched, damaged or not in their original packaging. Customs or any additional charges for returning the product will not be covered by VERGO Designs and any charges will be due to be payable by the customer if incurred by VERGO Designs and will be subtracted from any refund due.

If an item is returned to us because a customer refused to pay for any import taxes or customs duties due payable, VERGO Designs will seek to recover from the customer all costs or any fees incurred by VERGO Designs. Please note that if you refuse to pay custom duties upon delivery, a refund will only be issued after the product has been returned to us.

Normally the return of the product to VERGO Designs takes 1-2 weeks, but depending on the country’s customs officers, the VERGO Designs product could be held by the boarder for up to a maximum of 10 weeks, VERGO Designs is unable to offer a refund until the bag is safely returned to us.

 

REFUNDS

If your order was placed within South Africa, all sales taxes will be refunded. For orders placed outside the South Africa, delivery costs, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through VERGO Designs. However, you may be able to recover the duties and taxes by contacting your local customs bureau directly. As this may not be available for all countries, we recommend that you hire a customs broker if you wish to claim back duties on returned merchandise. We do not cover any additional bank charges charged by the local banks or any additional shipping and handling charges paid on your original shipment, and these will be deducted in the event you return one of our products.

Refunds will be processed within 3 to 7 days of receiving the returned goods in good order. Refunds will be processed according to the payment type selected at time of purchase.
